Located in the heart of Times Square and Broadway's bustling theater district, the 49-story New York Marriott Marquis is one of the largest Marriotts in the world. The new Marquis Fitness Center , a bold, glass-enclosed 4,000 square foot space, appears as a "floating light box", midway over the hotel's dramatic 37-story atrium, providing an exciting, spectacular setting for a full workout, as well as panoramic views of Times Square and midtown Manhattan . The hotel houses the 1,600-seat Marquis Theater, a premiere Broadway musical house.?Gourmet diners enjoy several restaurant choices, including The View, New York 's only revolving rooftop restaurant, which has recently undergone a $4 million renovation; Katen, the hotel's sushi bar; and Encore Restaurant, for all-day dining. Classic cocktails are served at the dramatic Atrium Lounge, and guests can relax while overlooking the lights of Broadway in the Broadway Lounge.

Conference Hotel Room Rates

The conference has obtained great special room rates for ACC attendees:

Single/Double $186.00
Rates do not include 13% occupancy tax

The room block expiration date of June 11, 2007 has expired.

Hotel reservations may be made by either calling the hotel at 1-800-843-4898 and mention that you will be attending the ACC conference. If you would prefer to make your reservation online, go to the Marriott Marquis webpage and enter ACCACCA in the group code.

New:The original room block at $186/night is sold out during the peak nights of the conference.  The conference organizers have negotiated with the Marriott and investigated other hotels in the area.  The Marriott has agreed to expand our room block at the rate of $299 per night.  There are a limited number of rooms left on the off peak nights at the original conference rate.  You may still reserve a room at the original rate on the off peak nights while they last.  You will need to pay the increased price for the other nights.  To take advantage of the dual rate, you must register by phone.  The organizers have checked with other hotels in the area and no other full service hotel gave us a rate of less than $299.
Thank you for your understanding.

Roommate Location Service

(This service ends on June 15, 2007.)

On behalf of the Women in Control (WiC), Amanda Young is organizing a Roommate Location Service for 2007 ACC attendees. If you would like to share a hotel room and need assistance finding a roommate, send an email message to [email protected] with your:

  • name,
  • gender,
  • email address and other contact information,
  • date arriving at the Conference hotel,
  • date checking out of the Conference hotel,
  • smoking preference,
  • any other information you wish to add.

This information will be compiled into separate lists for male/female respondents and distributed by email. You will be responsible for contacting and screening prospective roommates from that list and making your own hotel reservations and arrangements.

Please note that this service is a resource to merely locate potential roommates, not to match specific individuals together. In so doing, neither the organizers nor WiC will be held responsible for any situations that arise as a result of room sharing between particular parties. In addition, this service will end after June 15, 2007. Therefore, given also the limited availability of reduced rate rooms at the Conference hotel, interested individuals should send in their above information as early as possible.

The Organizing Committee of the 2007 ACC would like to thank WiC and Amanda Young for organizing this Roommate Location Service.
